Wem gehorcht der Kalender?

Wenn ich morgens, nicht nur heute, die Wäscheleine sehe, dann bin ich beleidigt. Mehr noch heute, als gestern der ganze Spuk (mit Halloween) hätte enden sollen. Aber ein Monatsende ist nicht das was es meint, sondern wie man es interpretiert.

Ich hätte es wissen können nach so vielen Jahren in Swasiland.
Termine, Absprachen, Kalenderzusagen sind aufgesetzte Begriffe aus einer anderen Welt und werden traditionell übersetzt.

Die Grenzen zwischen betrügerischen Absichten und kulturellen Unterschieden in der Wahrnehmung sind fließend.

Der sogenannte Mieter im Haus nutzt diesen Unterschied und kommt offenbar in seiner Gesellschaft damit durch. All die "gutgemeinten" Ratschläge der Freunde und Verwandten aus dem Norden orientieren sich an ihren Werten. Na gut, aber schon die Vorstellung, dass die Sonne mittags im Süden steht, hat vielen Besuchern aus der Fremde einen gefährlichen Sonnenbrand am Swimmingpool beschert.
Hier geht die Sonne zwar auch im Osten auf, aber sie nimmt die Bahn über Norden, um im Westen unterzugehen. Das nur als Metapher. Einiges ist eben anders!

70% OF SD POPULATION HIV NEGATIVE

Swaziland has an estimated total of 218 048 people which is over 20% of the population that are living with HIV and about 8 293 people are newly infected annually.

This was revealed by the United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) Country Coordinator Tim Rwabuhemba during the launch of 2016 World AIDS Campaign/World AIDS day which was held at Sibane Hotel.

This year’s theme for World AIDS Day is ‘Hands Up for #HIV Prevention’.

Rwabuhemba said the nation needs to do all possible to retain the over 70% (over 800 000) population negative.

He said there was still a lot to be done to ensure a reduction in new infections and for people living with HIV who know their status to be on treatment and adhere so they could be virally suppressed.

“This year, the global focus for World AIDS Campaign/World AIDS Day is on HIV prevention, that’s why the 2016 theme is Hands Up for #HIV Prevention. This is a theme that explores different aspects of HIV prevention and how they relate to specific groups of people, such as adolescent girls and young women, key populations and people with HIV. It offers people a space to express their views on what they think need to be done to strengthen HIV prevention efforts,” he said.

Taking from the evidence that HIV incidences are high amongst girls and young women, there is a need to provide adolescent girls and young women with access to education and real options to protect themselves from HIV. “We also need to provide key population with full access to services delivered with dignity and respect.

Every child can be born free from HIV to mothers who not only survive but thrive,” he said.
